Common Sense Natural Acne Treatment

Filed under: Blogroll — Pat Watson @ 11:25 am

There are some common sense things you can do to help treat acne. First off, don’t pick, pinch or rub your pimples. This will just make them worse by spreading the bacteria. This will also increase the possibilities of leaving a scar….don’t do it!

Wash your face twice daily with soap (the soap that is the best is the one on page one of this post…), don’t scrub your face, wash it. Blot it dry. Do not use a rough sponge to wash with, that tears the skin and causes more acne problems. Do not overwash, twice daily is enough, overwashing can cause your glands to produce more sebum which will increase the possibility of more acne.

Drink lots of water! That’s water…not soda or juice…water carries the waste material away from your body and helps the body heal and prevents flairups.  Water flushes the junk out of your system, hydrates your skin so you have healthy looking skin and costs lots less than soda!

If you wear makeup, use waterbased and make sure you wash your makeup off before going to bed. Makeup clogs your pores so clean it up.  Wash your face, blot it dry and let your skin breath without makeup for awhile.

Exercise moderately, it increases the blood flow which eliminates toxins.  How does this work?  It’s called persperation.  It cleanses the system, just be sure to shower and clean off the gunk after exercising, you’ll feel great and look great too!

Watch what you eat. Certain foods may cause you to have an allergic reaction. If you notice a problem with certain foods, leave them alone.

Keep your face clean. Avoid resting your face on your hands, hands have oil which add to your face oils causing an overload. Keep your hair off your face, especially at night. Hair oil is another problem for acne.

Get outside in the sun and fresh air. Sun stimulates Vitamin D which is essential for good skin. Fresh air and sun reduce stress and increase oxygen to your system. Don’t overdue it in the sun. Burned skin thickens and makes cleaning more difficult and can lead to blocked pores.
