Here are Some Acne Truths

Bacteria is the reason for acne. Keep your face clean to decrease the bacterial growth.  As has been stated over and over in these articles, wash your face twice daily with Pat’s soap and don’t scrub, wash gently and rinse well.

Acne is not something that can be cured, it can be controlled, it can be treated with something as simple as washing your face twice daily, being the habit of doing this early, it will certainly assist in you keeping beautiful skin.

There are more than 50 types of acne, the most common is the vulgaris.

The desire to scrub your face with a Loofah sponge, Buff Puff or other abrasive product may make you think it will "deeply clean out the pores" when in fact it just makes the acne worse. You tear the skin when you use these products, you open up the pores allowing more bacterial growth to take place. Remember, the reason you get acne is because of baceria. You can’t avoid bacteria, it’s everywhere including in the air, so make sure you wash your face twice a day to wash the bacteria off.

Treating the one pimple is not going to work. You need to wash the entire face to keep the skin in good condition. If you have one pimple the bacteria growth is there, you need to keep it clean and the entire area around it clean to assist in preventing a larger outbreak.

The sun and fresh air are good for you, but don’t get too much sun. Sun’s ultraviolet rays can damage the skin, damaged skin is weak skin and therefore more susceptible to bacerial growth.

Wash just twice a day, excessive washing actually causes the acne to grow by encouraging the body to produce more oils, so wash just twice a day. Do it right, use the facial cleansing soap recommended on page one.

It takes three to four weeks for a pimple to form, therefore, what you eat, the dirt you get into or the stress you are under today will not mean a breakout tomorrow, make sure you keep to the regement of washing twice a day….everyday….to keep the risk reduced of an outbreak.

Age does not necessarily mean acne, acne can happen to any age group and either sex. Acne is caused by bacteria, keep your face clean. You do not grow out of the acne age, it will reduce when puberty is passed but it still happens, regardless of your age. Skin care is critical to reduce the possibility of acne development. Again, wash your face twice a day!
